Common questions

How does the 14-day free trial work?

The trial starts the first time you open Octilum and gives you every feature for 14 days: all eight categories, guided and self-guided programs, live sessions, statistics, cross-data patterns and Live World.

No payment method is required to start it, and nothing is charged when it ends. When the 14 days are up, you choose a plan or stop using the app — the choice is yours.

What do the subscriptions cost?

Monthly Premium is $6.99 per month. Yearly Premium is $49.99 per year, which works out to about $4.17 per month — a 40% saving.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by Octilum, so cancellation happens in your Apple Account:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions.
  3. Select Octilum and tap Cancel Subscription.

You can also go straight there: manage your subscriptions. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.

I subscribed but the app still shows me the paywall.

Open Settings → Manage Subscription inside Octilum and tap Restore Purchases. This re-checks your Apple Account and unlocks the app.

If it still doesn't unlock, confirm you're signed in with the same Apple Account you used to purchase, then close Octilum fully and reopen it. If the problem continues, write to us with your purchase date.

How do I delete my data?

Octilum has no account to delete — there's no sign-up, no email and no password. Your tracking history lives on your iPhone, so you're always the one holding it.

Your tracking history: delete individual entries from any category at any time, or delete the app to remove everything stored on the device. If you turned on iCloud Sync, remove the copy in iPhone Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.

Your Live World presence: open Live World, tap the settings icon at the top left, and use Reset my Live World identity. That erases your anonymous identifier along with every circle membership, group membership and session record tied to it, on the device and on our servers. Your tracking history is untouched.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you'd rather we handle it, email support@octilum.com and we'll confirm before removing anything.

Cancelling a subscription is a separate action — do that in your Apple Account if you no longer want it to renew.

How do I report or block someone in Live World?

Anywhere another person's name appears, tap the ··· button beside it and choose Report or Block.

Blocking takes effect immediately: that person disappears from your member lists, from the activity you see and from group statistics. It is silent and one-way — they are not notified, and nothing changes on their side. The list is kept on your device and never leaves it.

Reporting asks you to pick a reason and sends it to us for review. It also blocks the person by default, though you can turn that off before submitting.

To undo a block, open Live World, tap the settings icon at the top left and use the Blocked People list.

Live World is off by default. Turn your visibility on or off anytime with Show me in Live World, in the app's Settings or in Live World settings.

Does Octilum need Apple Health?

No. Apple Health is optional, and the connection is read-only — Octilum never writes to or changes your Health data.

You can grant or revoke access at any time in the iPhone Settings app under Privacy & Security → Health → Octilum.

Why won't a meditation or sleep track play?

Tracks stream on first play and are cached on your device afterwards, so the first play of each one needs a connection. After that they work offline.

If a download stalls, check your connection, then delete and re-download the track from the category's track list.

Can I use Octilum on iPad or Apple Watch?

Not yet. Octilum is built for iPhone on iOS 18 or later.

If you turn on iCloud Sync in Settings → Data & Security, your history is kept in your own private iCloud account and a new iPhone picks up where the old one left off. It is off by default, so switch it on before you change devices.

I found a bug, or I want to request a feature.

Please write to support@octilum.com. For bugs, tell us which category you were in and what you did right before it happened — that's usually enough to reproduce it.

Feature requests are read and kept on the roadmap list. Many of the things already in Octilum started as an email.
